Sweet & Spicy Meat & Veggie Rice Bowl

Ingredients

  • Mushrooms
  • String beans
  • Garlic
  • Salt
  • Meat of choice (ground beef, ground turkey, chicken breast, chicken thighs, etc.)
  • Soy sauce or substitute
  • Hoisin sauce
  • Chili garlic paste
  • Toasted sesame seeds

Order of Operations

  1. Prepare veggies
    1. Slice mushrooms
    2. Chop string beans into chunks
    3. Thinly slice some cloves of garlic
  2. Cut your meat of choice into strips, then each strip into cubes
  3. Salt meat and set it aside
  4. Make the sauce, then set aside
    1. 1 tbsp soy sauce or substitute
    2. 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
    3. 1 tbsp chilli garlic paste
    4. Toss in some toasted sesame seeds
  5. Add some oil to wok/pan and bring to heat
  6. Add garlic strips to wok/pan, cook until aromatic
  7. Add veggies and salt
  8. Sautee for a few minutes, then set veggies aside
  9. Add some replacement oil to wok/pan if necessary and add meat cubes
  10. Let meat cubes sear on one side for several minutes
  11. Move meat cubes around after seared to sear other side
  12. Pour in sauce and let cook for about a minute or so

Add rice, veggies, and steak (in order) then serve.
