Italian Chicken Hoagie/Wrap

Ingredients

  • Chicken breast
  • Oregano
  • Garlic powder
  • Cayenne pepper powder
  • Bread
  • Balsamic sauce
  • Tomato
  • Lettuce
  • Onion

Order of Operations

  1. Take chicken breast and butterfly it, add salt and spice mix to both sides
  2. Bring pan/skillet to high heat with olive oil, add chicken breast to pan and sear it on one side for about 2 minutes. Once seared, flip over and sear opposite side for ~3 minutes, goal is 155 f internal temp.
  3. After completely seared, let it cool on cutting board for ~5 minutes, then slice into thin strips.
  4. Thinly slice tomatos and onion
  5. If using hero bread, add very slight (7oz) dollop of mayo and spread across hero interior
  6. Add sliced tomatos, then lettuce, then onion. Grate some parmigano reggiano on top of the vegetables, then add the chicken.
  7. Drizzle some balsamic on top of the chicken.
  8. Wrap up in aluminum foil for storage and compression, eat whenever.
